26th March 2007 Monday

Finally made a decision and bough my new handphone. After much consideration, I finally had no choice but to opt for the family edition phone. Well, I guess there wasn't much of a choice as it is the cheapest phone that has all the functions that I am looking out for. Anyway, special thanks to CW for his kind advice too even though I didn't really heed it. =p Yawn. Boring day. Boring Monday. And the usual Monday Blues.

(Aside to CY: I totally understand what you meant in your entry titled "Life..")

23 March 2007 Friday

Been ages since I last blogged. Been really busy on work these two weeks so didn't really have the time to blog. Well, and even if I did, I was resting rather than blogging. Lazy me. Anyway, today is the earliest I reached home in two weeks so thought I would do some blogging. Hmm. Where shall I start with? Oh yah. Let's start with something really coincidental. I went to PWC Building to help a senior do subsequent minutes review for a certain company. And so coincidental that the corporate secretary in charge of the company is my JC friend from my first three months in JC! And so I bumped into HA. So coincidental and it was actually her who recognised me before I recognised her. I must be getting old. Memory failing me. But I did eventually recall her name after a couple of minutes or so. =) Reminds me of those happy days during the first three months of college when there isn't yet too much to worry about except play and be happy. I still remember those silly games that we played sitting in on the grounds of Marina Square and still remember those silly nicknames we came up with for each other. Those were the days. And I still remember how sad it was that we all went to different colleges after the O level results were released. I guess the saddest thing about leaving the college was this bunch of friends that I made. Those fun we had during orientation with this lousy orientation group leader me. (PS: Not my fault k? Still remembered that I was sabotaged into becoming the leader when the senior in charge of the group asked a late comer to choose a leader. I guess he probably chose me because I am probably the least likely to win him if a fight breaks out. Well, just a guess.) Bumping into HA does bring back loads of memory of those days. And kind of sad that we didn't manage to keep in contact after we splitted.

Hmm. What else? Oh yah. My phone plan recently just reached its 21 months mark. Which means I am eligible to go for those phone discounts for continuation of phone plan. But I just can't make up my mind about which phone to get. I don't want an expensive phone. But those cheap phones don't really meet the criteria that I wanted. Actually I don't require too much. I just need an mp3 player phone that supports mp3 ringtones. And yah, I want a nice design too. And to my sis if she is reading, yah, I lied. Design matters too. Oh yah, another criteria is I don't want Nokia 5300 because half my family is using that phone and if I use that, it is probably going to be a family edition phone like my sis said. Aargh. Any advice anyone???

7th March 2007 Wednesday

Looking at the music and video CDs industry these days, it seemed to be gradually being dominated by China imported CDs. I don't know whether any of you have ever flipped these china imported discs and read the words in fine print printed at the back of those discs? Well, I looked at a couple and they read "For sale in China only and sale of this compact disc outside of China is prohibited by law (Translated into English)". Well, I don't know if this law is Chinese law or Singaporean law or any other countries' law for that matter, but this law thing seemed to be warranting no authority all globe round. Or maybe there have been some agreement by the music companies or something with the relevant authorities before they imported such CDs for sale. In my opinion, if there is any such agreement, I would think it is only appropriate to print it somewhere ain't it? If not, I wonder if this is what they call it - "openly flouting the law". Well, what do you think? In future when you are in those CD shops, take a moment to look at those small print and tell me what you think k? Some thing to ponder about for music and CD lovers like me.
