I once thought that friendships could withstand the test of time. But it turned out that time had the power to change all, even relationships that were not constantly maintained. I guess it takes more than effort to maintain a friendship, if there was even one beyond acquiantance in the first place. Have you ever tried placing so much dependency on a group of people, only to find yourself alone when you most needed them? If you had, you probably understand the disappointment at the point in time and the strength you gained after walking through it all. I guess all these probably taught me that the only way to avoid disappointment is to not place too much hopes in anyone or anything. It might sound sad in the beginning but when practicalized, it didn't felt as bad as everyone thought it would...
