8th May 2007 Tuesday

Why bother about the world when it doesn't bother about you? Have you ever tried asking yourself this and yet still bother about every little thing and person around you? If you are, you have probably been the old me. Not that I don't bother about anything now but I guess I learnt to let things take its natural course and learn that although we can't change life, we can always change the way we are looking at it. Whether we are looking upon it as the worst possible thing on earth or make the best of what comes our way. Easy to say hard to do but whoever said life was easy?

On a brighter note, I have been watching the "Condor Heroes" VCD that I got for my birthday sometime back (And sometime meant close to half a year back). Along the way to finishing it. Have read the Condor Heroes story ages ago when I was just a Secondary School boy and I never thought that the show would interest me much since I already knew the story. But I was wrong. To be honest, I was kind of liked a couple of scenes from the show and amongst all, I think I loved the scene when young Guo Xiang and her sister walked on the narrow bridge and Guo Xiang's sister knocked down a puppet troupe's box. The difference in the way they treated the incident was really brought out really well. And I especially loved the difference in the troupe master's attitude towards the two girls. If you have watched the show, I think you would agree that the notion of kindness begets kindness and vice versa was really brought out really well in that scene. It might be a show but isn't that really true in life too? It wouldn't hurt to be a little kinder to the next person you see and you will be surprised how much kindness you will receive in return. And even if you don't receive any, wouldn't the happiness of being kind be a reward in itself? Hmm. Something to ponder about ain't it?
